The 5.11 Tactical RUSH24 Backpack 37L is a great choice for any person looking to take a serious step up from their EDC pack or carry everything they need for a day out in the wild. It can easily handle a full-day hike, a weekend getaway go-bag or a hefty haul around the city without feeling heavy.

5.11 Tactical has a nice padded sleeve for a laptop, a hidden CCW compartment, a large glasses pocket, and some quick-grab pockets on the front for pens or other small items you don’t want to lose. There’s also a zippered mesh compartment on the bottom of the bag for anything you don’t need on your back but want to keep from getting lost.

Another nice feature is the sternum strap. It’s sturdy, adjustable, and comes with elastic keepers for that coveted #DangleFreeExperience.

The shoulder straps are thick and padded. They distribute the weight of the pack well and don’t dig in at all, even when it’s loaded down with 45 pounds.

The material is 1050-denier nylon with PUx2 for water repellence, which feels sturdy yet not too heavy, which is great if you’re using it for camping or hiking trips in a rugged environment. It does collect hair/lint quite easily, though, so be sure to keep that in mind.
